Attention Deficit Research
Module 1 · The Reframe: From Patient to Athlete

Here's What's Actually Going On

Lead with the lived experience, not the textbook. *"You already know exactly what you should do.

You've known for years. You just… don't do it, not because you don't care, and not because you're not smart. There's a graveyard of planners and apps and fresh starts behind you. You've been called lazy, flaky, careless, for something that was never about effort."* Let that land. Then give them the name as relief, not as a lecture: the part of your brain that turns knowing into doing-right-now runs unreliably. It's a self-regulation and performance profile, not a knowledge problem, not an intelligence problem, not a character problem. The science is the receipt under the recognition, not the opening line.
