Module 2 · The Training Philosophy: Why Willpower Lost

All of It Is Modifiable

Now the part that makes the last lesson worth sitting through.

Almost everything on that bill is modifiable, and we can prove it, not with hope, with data. The biggest driver of the scariest number (mortality) is accidents, behavioral, preventable, exactly what external structure catches. Treatment alone, before you build a single system, measurably cuts car crashes, criminal convictions, and injuries. The life-expectancy gap is attributed to modifiable factors and unmet needs, which is to say, to things on a to-do list, not things in your DNA. Every cost you just looked at has a carrier with its name on it: money → automation; relationships → externalized rules; accidents → the pause before the impulse; the body → sleep and movement. That's not a motivational speech, it's the rest of this course. You've now got the diagnosis and the prognosis, and the prognosis is good. So let's talk about what life actually looks like on the other side of the build.
