Staying Accountable

Manualized ADHD Coaching (ACE-MI)

The first coaching approach written down as a manual, so any coach can run it the same way. Twelve sessions move through three phases, held together by two constants.

The stance

ADHD-informed, client-led

The coach understands how ADHD touches every area of your life, but your agenda drives every session. Their expertise serves your goals, not the other way around.

The thread

Growth & hope

Woven through every session on purpose: psychoeducation, affirming your strengths, building self-advocacy, and celebrating wins. It's the piece that sets ADHD coaching apart.

Session 1

Open

Map your history and how you function now, name your strengths and values, picture the goals you actually want, and set up the coaching partnership.

Sessions 2–11

The work

Each session runs the same loop: review your progress, surface the challenge in front of you, brainstorm strategies together, and commit to specific next action steps.

Session 12

Close

Summarize how far you've come, consolidate what worked into something you can keep using, and plan for life after coaching.

The toolkit

Individualized tools

Coaches draw from a deep bench, executive-function assessments, strengths inventories, mindfulness practices, and exercises, matched to your needs rather than applied by rote.

Built from focus groups with eight certified ADHD coaches carrying five to twenty-six years of experience. Saviet et al., ACE-MI, 2024.
