ADHD Coaching (Prevatt model)
One-on-one coaching, grounded in CBT, that turns big intentions into small tracked steps. The weekly check-in itself takes only five to ten minutes; the structure does the rest.
Step 1
Gather the full picture, your history and your executive-function profile, so the plan is built around the real you, not a generic template.
Step 2
Name the life issues actually worth tackling, then choose two or three to work on: time management, a long project, passing a specific class, even learning to do laundry.
Step 3
Turn each issue into a concrete behavior-change objective, something you can see yourself doing and know when you've hit.
Step 4
Break each objective into intermediate steps and brainstorm the obstacles before they arrive, with rewards and consequences built in so motivation isn't left to willpower.
Step 5
Homework carries the work forward between sessions. Then you propose options, put a solution into practice, and evaluate the outcome, adjusting the plan from what actually happened.
